New milestone for La Serena: it has been added to FIVI’s wineries
La Serena became a member of FIVI after what Andrea Mantengoli described as a long and considered decision. He found common ground with the federation’s definition of an independent winegrower: one who defends the land, cultivates and harvests personally managed vineyards, and follows the wine through to the bottle.
The membership continues an established commitment to sustainable land management and a close relationship between people and nature. Andrea emphasises balance, nuance and practical substance over labels or overlapping bureaucratic certifications.
Certified-organic and biodynamic farming are discussed in relation to sustainability, climate protection and biodiversity. Andrea supports recognition of their stricter standards within a unified sustainability framework. At La Serena, every phase from vineyard to bottle is followed directly, with each action understood to affect the wine, the surrounding environment and the family’s life.
