Introducing Pinot Noir del Re from the vineyards of Oltrepò Pavese

Masi introduced Pinot Noir del Re as a still expression of the variety at the center of Casa Re’s identity. The project followed Moxxé del Re Brut and Rosé and drew on specially selected Pinot Nero clones from the estate’s contiguous vineyard in Montecalvo Versiggia.

The announcement described Casa Re as a 15-hectare property in the Versa Valley, close to Santa Maria della Versa, with its vineyard entirely planted to Pinot Nero. The calcareous soils, enriched with marl and silty clay, and the continental setting were presented as central to the project.

Sandro Boscaini characterized Pinot Noir as restrained, essential and dependent on respect for its nature. He connected the release to decades of personal research and to Masi’s aim of supporting the international profile of Oltrepò Pavese through technical expertise and export experience. The official presentation was scheduled for Vinitaly 2026.
