About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

Fruit comes from the “Maramai” and “Casale” vineyards, at 300–350 m above sea level. The vines, planted between 1970 and 2001, grow mainly on south-facing slopes with loamy clay soils. The wine is organic.

Grapes

The Sangiovese component is identified locally as Prugnolo and is blended with Merlot.

Vinification

Fermentation and skin maceration take place with natural yeasts in stainless-steel vats at 28 °C for 15 days, with regular pumping over.

Ageing

The wine rests for six months in stainless-steel tanks before bottling. Although intended for youthful drinking, it develops greater finesse and harmony with age.

Tasting profile

Lively and fresh, with a youthful character.
