About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

Ramusa comes from Pinot Nero grown in the hills of Tenuta Ficuzza at Piana degli Albanesi, 700 m above sea level. The vineyards have a north-eastern exposure, a planting density of 5,000 vines per hectare and a yield of 60 hl/ha. The estate lies within the Ficuzza woodland; preserved woodland and Mediterranean scrub divide its vineyards into a mosaic. Strong day-to-night temperature variations help the Pinot Nero develop complex, elegant aromas.

Grapes

100% Pinot Nero.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested manually into cases during the first half of September. They are destemmed and undergo 24 hours of cold maceration. The juice is then racked and fermented at controlled temperature.

Ageing

Maturation takes place on the fine lees for six months.

Technical data

Terre Siciliane I.G.T. The 2024 release has 12.5% alcohol and is offered in a 750 ml bottle.

Tasting profile

A rosé defined by freshness and fragrance, with the complex, elegant aromatic expression developed by Pinot Nero in the cool, high-altitude conditions of Tenuta Ficuzza.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 8–10 °C.
