About this wine

Grapes

Sangiovese, harvested and selected by hand.

Vinification

The fruit is immediately destemmed and undergoes a gentle pressing lasting about one hour. The resulting must settles for 48 hours at 4°C, then is racked away from the lees and fermented in steel vats at a controlled 17–18°C. After fermentation, the wine remains on fine lees for three months in steel at approximately 10°C. Protein and tartaric stabilisation precede bottling about five months after harvest.

Ageing

Five months in steel vats, including three months on fine lees.

Technical data

DOC Maremma Toscana Rosato. Alcohol is 13% vol, production is 15,000 bottles and the available format is 0.75 L.

Tasting profile

A pale, elegant pink reminiscent of peach skin, with bright reflections. Intense fresh-fruit aromas feature peach and strawberry over tropical nuances. The palate is fresh and fragrant, with a savoury, mineral centre and harmonious balance.

Serving and pairing

Recommended as an aperitif and with fish or seafood.
