About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow on limestone and clay soils in Valpolicella.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand during the final ten days of September, then pressed and macerated at the winery. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. After alcoholic fermentation, Amarone pomace is added to the must to initiate a second fermentation.
Ageing
The wine matures for 15 months in French oak barriques, followed by seven months in bottle in the winery’s cellars before release.
