The project used 100% Sangiovese from Vigneto Valdonica and chestnut casks made from wood sourced in the forests of Chianti. Luigi described the work as an exploration of the complexity of the local territory and of the self-sufficiency once characteristic of older farming communities. The maturation trial was developed as a research project with the Accademia dei Georgofili.
