About this wine

Grapes

Red grapes grown in Collio.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested manually. A short 6–8-hour maceration on the skins is followed by soft pressing and fermentation in stainless-steel tanks at 14–16 °C. Malolactic fermentation is prevented.

Ageing

The wine remains on its lees in stainless steel for 4 months, followed by 2 months of bottle ageing.

Technical data

Alcohol: 12.5% vol. Total acidity: 6.0 g/L. Residual sugar: 3 g/L. Total SO₂: 85 mg/L. pH: 3.25. Available in 0.75 L bottles.

Tasting profile

Bright pale pink with salmon reflections. Aromas of wild strawberry, pomegranate and fresh flowers are accented by a light citrus note. The palate is dry, savory, fine and balanced. The fresh, harmonious finish recalls small red fruits.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 8–10 °C in a tulip-shaped rosé glass; decanting is unnecessary. Suitable as an aperitif and with Mediterranean dishes, fish and summery first courses. Ageing potential is 2–3 years.
