About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit is grown on hillsides near Verona, in reddish-brown soils mixed with basalt deposits.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness, placed in small crates and left to dry and shrivel for an unspecified period. Traditional fermentation takes place with the grape skins, followed by a further 2–3 weeks of maceration.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12–18 months in French oak barrels.
Serving and pairing
Decant for 30 minutes before serving.
