About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow on the hills north of Verona in the Valpolicella Classico area. The reddish-brown soils contain limestone and basalt deposits.
Vinification
The ripest bunches are selected by hand and dried for four to five months, concentrating their sweetness, flavour and aroma. Fermentation takes place on the skins, with maceration lasting three to four weeks.
Ageing
Depending on the vintage, the wine matures in large oak barrels for two to four years.
Tasting profile
The wine has a distinctive, captivating character.
Label / history
The 2013 vintage received four stars from Vinibuoni d’Italia, a platinum medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards, and a diploma at Verona Wine Top in 2018.
