The grapes are grown in Emilia-Romagna in northern Italy.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand from mid-September to mid-October. The wine is produced by the Charmat method, with vinification taking place for several weeks in large steel tanks of up to 2,000 L. It is filtered before bottling.
