Abbazia di San Gaudenzio was founded in Santo Stefano Belbo, a town between Monferrato, Roero and Langhe in Piedmont.

The winery is run by Mario Santero, the fourth generation of the Santero family, together with his children. Modernization has helped the company meet the needs of today's wine market.

The estate's vineyards lie on the hills of Piedmont, in Santo Stefano Belbo, a town situated between the Monferrato, Roero and Langhe areas, where conditions are described as ideal for growing grapes.

Every stage of production follows BRC, IFS and ISO certification standards and is monitored by the Asti Consortium.
