Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from old vines in Vallagarina, on the border between Veneto and Trentino. Casetta was traditionally grown around Dolcè, Ala and Avio.
Tasting profile
Powerful and distinctive in character, the wine develops well after several years of ageing.
Label / history
Casetta is known locally as Foja Tonda, meaning “round leaf”. A native Valdadige variety, it was gradually replaced by more popular, higher-yielding grapes before Albino Armani recovered and refined it. It was readmitted to the list of approved varieties in 2002, and the area received Terra dei Forti DOC status in 2007.
