Vineyard and terroir
Refosco has been grown for centuries in the Magredi, at the foot of the Carnic Alps, on soils rich in gravel and limestone. The vines are trained using the Guyot system.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with frequent pumping over, which preserves the natural character of the grapes. No artificial additives are used.
Ageing
Part of the wine is aged in tonneaux and the rest in large oak barrels. This gives a balanced structure and lets the flavours develop.
Label / history
The wine continues the long winemaking traditions of Friuli and is presented as having a clear connection to the region's history.
