Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The Chardonnay grows in north-facing vineyards at Tenuta di Nozzole, near the Greve River, 30 km south of Florence in the Chianti Classico area. Marked differences between daytime and nighttime temperatures characterize the site. The vineyards are planted at 4,000–4,500 vines per hectare and yield an average of 8 tonnes per hectare.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and gently pressed. The juice is settled and cooled before fermentation in stainless-steel tanks at 18 °C.
Ageing
The wine rests on its lees for around six months, followed by at least two months in bottle in the estate’s cellars.
Tasting profile
Fresh, floral and mineral.
