Vineyard and terroir

The Rocche dell'Annunziata vineyard lies at 190–371 metres above sea level. The wine comes from a 0.5-hectare plot planted in 1973.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested as late as possible, promptly taken to the winery, sorted and pressed. The must remains in contact with the skins for about 350 hours under controlled temperatures.

Ageing

The wine matures for 26 months in oak barrels of 16, 25 and 50 hl, followed by two months in stainless-steel tanks and six months in bottle before release.

Tasting profile

Intense.
