Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow on the Langhe hills around the town of Barbaresco in southern Piedmont.
Vinification
After harvest, the grapes are destemmed and crushed, then macerated for 12 days in stainless-steel bioreactors with daily pumping over. After two days of pressing, the must is transferred to Slavonian oak barriques. Natural egg white is used for clarification.
Ageing
The wine ages for two years in Slavonian oak barriques, followed by a further six months in bottle before release.
