Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from vineyards in Umbria, where the vines grow on clay-limestone soils at an altitude of 300 metres.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in the first half of September.
Ageing
The wine matures for 15 months in French oak barrels, followed by at least eight months in bottle.
