Vineyard and terroir

The Cortese grapes are grown in the Tassarolo area, one of the communes of the Gavi wine region. Calcareous marl soils and a cool climate support the grapes’ varietal character and refreshing acidity.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and gently pressed. The must is separated from the skins, cooled and allowed to settle before controlled-temperature fermentation in stainless-steel tanks.

Ageing

The wine ages for six months before bottling.

Tasting profile

It shows the varietal character of Cortese, with refreshing acidity.

Label / history

Ca' Bergaglio is a personal project of Marco Bergaglio, the third generation of his winemaking family.
