Label / history
The name refers to the Italian word “soave”, meaning “delicate” and “soft”. Bolla was founded in Veneto by Abele Bolla in 1883. In the late 1960s, Brown-Forman acquired a 40% stake in the winery and began selling its wines in the United States.
