Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow on fertile hills in the province of Treviso, where the microclimate is mild and the soils have a distinctive composition.
Grapes
The blend comprises selected Pinot Nero (60%) and Chardonnay (40%) grapes.
Vinification
For the 2011 harvest, the grapes were picked by hand from 1 to 10 September. They were gently pressed, then underwent primary fermentation at a controlled temperature with specially selected yeasts.
Ageing
The wine fermented on its lees for six months and subsequently aged for at least another six months.
Tasting profile
It has deep flavour and a well-defined structure, developed through extended contact with the lees.
Label / history
Giulio Bortolomiol created the wine for the “Prestige Millesimato” range after guests and friends asked him to make something new, unusual, refined and very dry. It reflects his interest in producing sparkling wines in a variety of styles.
