Vineyard and terroir

The Glera is grown on the steep hills of St. Peter and St. Stephen in Veneto.

Vinification

The grapes were harvested by hand between 15 and 30 September and gently pressed. Primary fermentation took place at a controlled temperature with selected yeasts. Secondary fermentation followed in autoclaves, using the Martinotti–Charmat method, for 25–30 days.

Ageing

The wine rested on its lees for 1–3 months.

Label / history

Bandarossa is one of five sparkling wines in the Prestige Millesimato range. Its name means “red stripe” and recalls the stripe originally used to identify bottles that founder Giulio Bortolomiol considered his finest and reserved for special guests and loyal friends. The mark has represented the quality of Bortolomiol sparkling wines since 1986.
