Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from selected vines in Tremenalto, north of the municipality of Monteforte d’Alpone. The soils are predominantly basaltic, and yields are 90–100 quintals per hectare. Harvesting is by hand during the first ten days of September.
Grapes
100% Trebbiano di Soave.
Vinification
Half of the wine is vinified and fermented in stainless steel.
Ageing
The remaining 50% matures for approximately nine months in 680-litre F. Frères wooden barrels.
Technical data
Bianco Veneto IGT. Alcohol is approximately 13%. Production is 10,000 bottles, offered in 750 ml and 1,500 ml formats.
Tasting profile
Intense straw yellow. The bouquet combines potpourri and green tea with light notes of white-fleshed fruit and flint. The palate is enveloping and dense without becoming heavy, carrying its aromatic freshness into a savoury and exceptionally persistent finish.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 10–12°C. Pair with shellfish, white meat, fish or pasta with light sauces; it is also proposed as a contemplative wine outside a meal.
Label / history
Studio di Turbiàn grew from research and experimentation with Trebbiano di Soave and Garganega. Its name describes both the wine and an ongoing study intended to reinterpret these local varieties and explore new stylistic paths.
