Label / history

Cantina Produttori Cormons was founded in 1962 as a consortium by eleven representatives of grape growers and wine producers in northeastern Italy. The founders held that the future of winemaking should not be shaped by changing fashions, and the members introduced a comprehensive set of winemaking rules to secure the quality of the wines. Today the consortium is a private organization serving the public interest and includes most of the region's producers across all categories. It oversees production from planting the vines to making the wine, works with research institutes, and introduces new methods for growers and winemakers to improve quality while strictly following environmental regulations.
