Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow at the Seehof site in Kaltern, close to the lake. The soils are sandy clay over calcareous gravel, which helps develop concentrated flavour, and the mild climate preserves balance and aromatic expression.
Vinification
The grapes are carefully selected. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature and is followed by malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine is aged for 12 months in stainless steel tanks and wooden barrels, which adds depth and softness to the palate. Further ageing in bottle makes it rounder and more harmonious.
Tasting profile
Rich and deep in character. The nose shows blueberry, blackberry and violet, with hints of vanilla and tobacco leaf. The palate is full-bodied yet lively, balancing generous fruit with freshness.
