Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in the valleys of Trentino-Alto Adige, on stony limestone soils. Winds from Lake Garda help preserve the structure and aromatic character of the fruit.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness. Skin maceration and fermentation take place in stainless steel tanks, which allows careful control over the extraction of colour and flavour. Malolactic fermentation follows.
Ageing
After malolactic fermentation, part of the wine is aged for around 6 months in oak barrels, while the rest remains in steel. The two portions are then blended. This brings gentle spice and oak nuances while keeping the fruit profile clean and clear.
Tasting profile
A rich, expressive dry red with the depth typical of Lagrein and a gentle spicy character. Dark berry flavours and delicate oak notes open up gradually on the palate, becoming fuller and rounder. The wine retains its freshness and balance.
Serving and pairing
The wine matches easily with a variety of dishes; the text names none.
