Vineyard and terroir
The Pinot Grigio comes from selected vineyards on the hills of Rovere della Luna and along the Adige River, from Lavis to Rovereto.
Vinification
Grapes are harvested once tests confirm the right level of ripeness and the aromas are at their most intense. The grapes are pressed pneumatically, the must is lightly clarified, and fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at 20 °C.
Ageing
Before bottling the wine rests in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, to preserve the freshness and aromatic character of the grapes.
Tasting profile
Fresh, light and delicate, with pleasant fruit and floral notes and mouthwatering acidity.
Label / history
Part of the "Mastri Vernacoli" range from Cavit, which presents the diversity of Trentino's grape varieties. The range also includes Müller-Thurgau, Gewürztraminer, Teroldego Rotaliano and Marzemino. Cavit was founded in 1950 by Trentino winemakers. It supports almost 4,500 small wineries, its vineyards cover 7,000 ha, and it produces 65% of the wine made in Trentino each year.
