Citra Vini was founded in 1973 as a winemaking community in Abruzzo, bringing together around 3000 families and 8 wineries. In recent years, the company has introduced several sustainability projects to guide its decisions toward protecting the environment and improving product quality.

The vineyards, covering 6000 hectares, stretch across almost the entire province of Chieti, encompassing varied terroirs.

Production is guided by time-tested practices rooted in respect for nature, with knowledge passed from parents to children across generations of grower families. Citra oversees the whole production chain, described as running "from vine to bottle," combining the technology, quality control, and expertise of a large company with the quality and long-standing family traditions of its growers.
