Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from selected sites at partner estates in the Colli Euganei DOC area. The vineyards occupy southwest-facing slopes in the Euganean Hills at elevations of 50–200 metres, on mineral-rich limestone soils of volcanic origin.
Grapes
Selected Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are used.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and sugar concentration. The must remains in extended contact with the skins at a controlled temperature before fermentation.
Ageing
After fermentation, the wine rests in oak barriques for 15–18 months. Further bottle ageing allows its flavours and aromas to reach balance.
Tasting profile
The wine has a rich aroma and a smooth texture, with balanced flavours and aromas after bottle ageing.
Serving and pairing
Decant before serving.
Label / history
The wine forms part of a quality project launched by Cantina Colli Euganei in 1998.
