Vintage notes
The 2020 winter in Piedmont was mild, with moderate temperatures and little rainfall. Early spring was relatively dry and sunny, initially suggesting an early harvest. Heavy rain from May through the end of June then slowed vine growth, while a sharp temperature drop in early September briefly delayed ripening. The harvest yielded grapes with an ideal balance of sugar and acidity.
Label / history
The name Arneis means “capricious child” in the Piedmontese dialect. The demanding variety had almost disappeared by the early 1970s, but Cornarea worked to revive it and help it thrive.
