Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from the historical area of Villa de la Croce in the eastern part of Montalcino, at 480 m a.s.l.

Grapes

100% Sangiovese Grosso. The grapes undergo strict selection and are harvested by hand into boxes.

Vinification

The variety is vinified alone at controlled temperature, with approximately 10–15 days of maceration.

Ageing

The wine matures for 9–10 months in oak barrels and receives at least four months of bottle refinement.

Tasting profile

Intense ruby red. Aromas evoke red berries, jam and tobacco. The palate is fresh yet structured, savoury and persistent.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 16°C with roasted or stewed white and red meats, or aged cheeses.
