Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in the province of Cuneo in Piedmont. The vineyards face east and southwest and have limestone and sandy soils. Yields are 60 hectolitres per hectare.
Vinification
After harvest, the grapes undergo a five-day traditional fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats, with periodic wetting of the grape-skin cap.
Ageing
The wine matures for seven months in stainless-steel tanks, followed by two months in bottle.
