Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from vineyards in the Langhe, situated at 300–450 m above sea level. The sites face south and southwest and have calcareous-clay soils. The vines are trained to Guyot.
Grapes
Nebbiolo and Barbera. The blend draws on a pairing once common in the region: Barbera lends freshness to young Nebbiolo, while Nebbiolo contributes structure as the wine matures.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested manually from late September to early October, then destemmed and crushed. Maceration takes place in temperature-controlled tanks at 25–26°C for 15–18 days, with daily pump-overs, followed by malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
Maturation takes place in oak vessels of different capacities. The wine gains complexity in bottle but is also approachable in its youth.
Tasting profile
Garnet red with violet reflections. Violet and plum aromas evolve toward cocoa and vanilla. The palate balances acidity and tannins.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 16–18°C. Pair with red meat, mature cheeses or gourmet pizza.
Label / history
The union of Nebbiolo and Barbera celebrates love and recalls a historic Langhe blending tradition. It was recreated in honour of an old friend of the cellar who loved both varieties, inspiring the theme of celebrating perfect moments.
