Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from six plots on the northern side of Etna. Five days of skin contact are intended to retain the mineral character and complexity associated with the volcanic terroir.
Vinification
The wine undergoes five days of skin maceration, followed by spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts in concrete tanks without temperature control.
Ageing
It matures for eight months in oak botti of various sizes.
Tasting profile
Rich and powerful, with a youthful, bold character, pronounced minerality and complexity.
Label / history
“Versante Nord” means “Northern Side,” referring to the location of the six vineyard plots on Etna.
