Founding by the Father

Elios owners Nicola and Roberto trace the company's story back to their father. After teaching English for 30 years, he decided to devote himself to farming, following the traditions of a family that had lived close to nature for decades. He introduced new organic and sustainable growing methods, relying only on natural substances to produce healthy, high-quality food. His resourcefulness took him to many trade fairs across Europe, where he explored opportunities to export his products. His talent, determination, and gift for conversation helped him build contacts in several European countries, laying the foundation for the future creation of "Elios — Best of Sicily."

Roberto's Path

Roberto earned a bachelor's degree in international communication and gained experience at several European hotels before returning home to continue the family business. In the summer of 2014, he qualified as an olive oil taster.

Nicola's Path

Nicola earned a master's degree in computer science in 2009 and worked as a software developer for the next few years. Over time, he became increasingly certain that his true passion was working with nature. Today, Nicola manages production, develops new strategies, and also looks after the bees.

Modus Bibendi

Elios's chief winemaker, Guido Grillo, suggested making an entirely natural wine. The project proved very successful and led to the creation of the Modus Bibendi wines.
