Vineyard and terroir

The Moscato Bianco comes from Santo Stefano Belbo and Mango. The vines are 10–25 years old, face south and southwest, and grow in clay-loam soils. They are Guyot-trained under sustainable viticulture practices, with a yield of 9,000 kg/ha. Harvesting is entirely by hand.

Grapes

100% Moscato Bianco.

Vinification

The bunches are sorted by hand on a vibrating table, chilled with carbonic snow to limit oxidation and substantially reduce the use of sulphur, then gently pressed. Screw conveyors are excluded throughout grape handling to minimize mechanical stress.

Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats and is stopped to preserve the grapes’ natural sugar and aromatic character. A second fermentation in an autoclave produces the wine’s gentle fizz. No oak is used.

Tasting profile

Light straw yellow with characteristic golden reflections. The fragrant varietal bouquet evokes roses, geraniums, citrus fruit and sage. The palate is fresh, elegant and smooth, balancing sweetness with acidity before a long fruity and mineral finish. Aromas and palate closely correspond.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 7–8 °C and drink young. It is suited to desserts and can also be enjoyed on its own as a refreshing drink, particularly in summer.

Vintage notes

The 2024 growing season was among the rainiest of recent years. A mild winter left good water reserves, while spring encouraged rapid vegetative growth. Abundant rainfall and balanced temperatures continued through the season. Harvest returned to more traditional timing but was interrupted by heavy rain, demanding particular care with later-ripening grapes. The estate’s harvest began on 19 August with Alta Langa fruit and ended on 13 October with Nebbiolo destined for Barolo.
