Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the estate's vineyards in Venezia Giulia, at 400 m above sea level on terraces along gently sloping hills. The Friuli-Venezia Giulia region has a varied landscape of coastal plains, mountains and plateaus. Bordering Austria and Slovenia, the province is sheltered from harsh, cold winds by the Alpine peaks, while the Adriatic Sea cools the hot summer temperatures and softens sharp winter fluctuations. Sea breezes blow north toward the hills at dawn and return south to the coast in the evening; this movement of air limits the spread of fungal diseases and keeps the vines healthy. Rainfall tends to be intense and brief rather than prolonged, and together with the bright, sunny climate it creates good conditions for ripening juicy, aromatic grapes.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness, then destemmed and gently pressed at the winery. A short skin contact of 10–12 hours at a low temperature of 3–4 °C gives the wine its light, aromatic bouquet, appealing structure and good balance. The grapes are then pressed, and the juice is filtered and fermented at a controlled temperature of 14–15 °C.
Ageing
After fermentation the wine ages for 6 months in stainless steel tanks.

Bright, lively, refined and fresh, with a light, aromatic bouquet, appealing structure and good balance.
