Label / history
Francesco Folonari founded Folonari in Valcamonica in 1825. In the mid-nineteenth century, he and his family moved to Brescia, in the foothills of the Alps, where he established a winery. He combined winemaking with bottling, which was still unusual in the second half of the nineteenth century. His aim was to produce good-quality, affordable wines for everyday drinking, a philosophy the company continues to follow.
