Label / history
Francesco Folonari founded Folonari in 1825 in Valcamonica, Veneto. In the mid-nineteenth century, the family moved to Brescia, in the foothills of the Alps. During the second half of that century, Francesco Folonari combined winemaking with bottling, an unusual practice at the time. His aim was to produce good-quality, affordable wines for everyday drinking, a philosophy the company continues to follow.
