Label / history
Folonari was founded by Francesco Folonari in Valcamonica in 1825. In the mid-19th century, the family moved to Brescia, in the foothills of the Alps, where Francesco established a winery. The company both produced and bottled wine, an unusual practice during the second half of the 19th century. Its founding aim was to make affordable, high-quality wines for everyday drinking.
