Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards have well-drained soils, a south-west exposure and a favourable elevation.
Grapes
The wine is made from carefully selected grapes.
Vinification
The fruit is harvested entirely by hand in the first week of October. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel vats for 12 days.
Ageing
The wine ages in French barriques and Slavonian oak casks for four years, followed by approximately four months in bottle in the winery’s cellars.
Tasting profile
Elegant and well balanced, with excellent structure.
Label / history
The “Artisti per Frescobaldi” collection has been stored in the cellars of the Castelgiocondo estate since 2017. Each vintage is issued as a limited edition, with every bottle individually numbered. The labels for the 2011 vintage were created in 2016 by Matthew Brannon, Eric Wesley and Patrizio Di Massimo.
