Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the company’s own vineyards.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in mid-September. After destemming, the berries remain in dedicated containers for six days before gentle pressing. The must undergoes alcoholic and malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
One portion matures in stainless-steel tanks, while the remainder spends about two months in oak barrels. The portions are then blended and bottled.
Label / history
Borgo Magredo’s modern history began in 1989, when Genagricola acquired the estate and began developing and modernising its vineyards in Friuli. Over the following 20 years, more than 200 ha were replanted, including experimental varieties. Equipment, production methods and cellar facilities were also upgraded, with this programme completed by 2004. The wines were sold in Italy and abroad.
