Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the family-owned Bricco di Castiglione Falletto vineyard, acquired in 1987. The vines grow at 280 metres above sea level on brown clay and grey marl. Dolcetto occupies 60% of the vineyard, including vines planted in 1994; the remaining 40% is planted with Nebbiolo. Harvest takes place during the final ten days of September.
Vinification
The grapes are carefully selected and fermented in the traditional red-wine style, with skin contact and constant temperature control.
Ageing
The wine rests in oak barrels for approximately two months.
