Vineyard and terroir
The Syrah comes from a single vineyard at the heart of the estate, planted in 1999. The vines are farmed organically in a warm microclimate on sandy loam soils, which yield high-quality grapes that give the wine elegance, excellent structure and complexity.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand into small crates and sorted twice: first in the vineyard, then on a vibrating sorting table at the winery. Only the best healthy berries are selected for traditional vinification. Fermentation starts naturally, without any additives. Maceration lasts from 18 to 24 days, depending on the grape variety and ripeness.
Ageing
The wine is aged for about 12 months in 300- and 500-litre medium-toast French oak barrels, then matures for some time in a concrete tank. It is gently filtered before bottling.
Tasting profile
Layered, lively and complex, with elegance and excellent structure. Exceptionally rich, with strong ageing potential and an impressive ability to develop over time.
Label / history
The name means "For Bruno" in Italian. The wine is dedicated to Bruno Giusti, the founder of the winery, who died in 2003.
