Vineyard and terroir
The Pinot Nero vineyard lies at Località Sasso al Vento, 450 m above sea level, on the eastern side of the Il Poggiolo vineyard. Its sandy-loam soil contains clay and an abundant galestro stone component.
Grapes
100% Pinot Nero.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks, with manual punch-downs, for approximately 12 days.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in fifth-use French oak barriques, followed by 12 months of bottle ageing.

Rosso Toscana IGT. Alcohol: 14%.
Tasting profile
The colour is a bright, delicate red with an orange rim. Wild strawberry, raspberry and floral nuances shape the aroma. The complex bouquet also develops hints of resin and incense, leading to a delicate, balsamic finish.
