Vineyard and terroir
The Cabernet Franc grows in the producer’s vineyards in the municipality of Narni, southern Umbria, at 160 m above sea level. The soils are clay.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in mid-September at optimal ripeness. Traditional red-wine methods are used under the supervision of Riccardo Cotarella, with fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats.
Ageing
The wine matures for 18 months in oak barriques, followed by 12 months in bottle.
