Terroir
Tenuta Le Colonne lies in the Bolgheri area of coastal Tuscany, at Località Donoratico in the commune of Castagneto Carducci. The estate stands a short distance from the sea and is among the properties situated closest to the shoreline within the denomination.
The vineyards are set within a Mediterranean landscape of scrub, woodland and old olive groves. The estate overlooks vines that extend around and immediately beside its buildings. The wider Bolgheri setting is characterized by a mild climate and the meeting of vineyards, olive groves and Mediterranean vegetation with the sea.
Vinificazione
The Bolgheri project follows a natural, sustainability-led approach in the vineyard, with low environmental impact and respect for the soil and the vegetative cycle of the vine. The stated objective is to preserve the wine’s original character rather than obscure it through intervention.
Tenuta Le Colonne has a cellar and a dedicated barrel-aging room. Its production approach is presented as natural and directed toward retaining the wine’s original character. Within the common production framework of the estates represented in Tuscany, vinification is associated with unrefined cement vessels and maturation with large French-oak barrels, alongside an emphasis on quality, sustainability and low environmental impact.
Filosofia
Tenuta Le Colonne is presented within a group of Tuscan estates united by high quality standards, naturalness, sustainability and low environmental impact. Respect for the land and the vine’s growth cycle forms part of this common outlook.
In both vineyard and cellar, the approach seeks to maintain the wine’s original character. Hospitality follows the same territorial focus, combining wine with the coastal landscape and locally rooted food rather than treating the tasting as an isolated experience.
