Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from two Merlot vineyards in the hamlet of Santo Stefano in the Breganze region. The vineyards are separated by a crossroads.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand, destemmed and crushed. Fermentation takes place in large, open 3,500-litre stainless-steel tanks, with the cap punched down daily. Malolactic fermentation follows for one week.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in new 225-litre barrels: 80% French Allier oak and 20% Limousin oak. It then rests in bottle for a further six months.
Tasting profile
The oak maturation adds elegance and refinement.
Label / history
The name comes from “crosara”, the local-dialect word for the crossroads separating the two vineyards.
