Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The vines grow in the coastal area of Marsala. Planted in 1996 and trained using the Guyot system, they yield no more than 60 tonnes per hectare.
Vinification
The grapes are generally harvested in mid-August, earlier than for any other De Bartoli white wine, to preserve acidity and freshness. After gentle pressing, the must settles naturally at a low temperature for 48 hours. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel vats at a controlled temperature, using wild yeasts and minimal added sulfites.
Ageing
The wine ages on its lees for six months in stainless steel.
Tasting profile
Intense and aromatic, with a fresh, fruit-driven and mineral character. Citrus flavours and aromas are accompanied by maritime notes.
