Vineyard and terroir

The grapes are hand-harvested from 15-year-old vines in mid-September.

Vinification

The grapes undergo 14 hours of cryomaceration before pressing. The juice is then decanted and fermented in steel vats.

Ageing

The wine rests briefly in steel vats.

Label / history

The range takes its name from Castello di Semivicoli, built by an Italian baron in the 17th century a few kilometres from San Martino. Following a lengthy restoration supported by Gianni Masciarelli, the castle reopened as a hotel overlooking the vineyards of Chieti.
